TownsTech Domain Registration Policy
Effective Date: June 2026
1. Purpose
This Domain Registration Policy governs the registration, renewal, transfer, management, and use of domain names purchased or managed through TownsTech.
By registering or managing a domain through TownsTech, you agree to these terms and to the policies of the relevant domain registry and registrar.
2. Domain Ownership
The registered domain owner ("Registrant") is the legal owner of the domain name.
TownsTech acts only as a service provider facilitating domain registration and management.
The Registrant is responsible for:
- Providing accurate registration information.
- Maintaining current contact details.
- Ensuring compliance with registry policies.
- Monitoring domain expiration dates.
3. Registration Information
Customers must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
TownsTech reserves the right to suspend or cancel services if false, misleading, or incomplete registration information is provided.
4. Domain Registration Approval
Submitting a registration request does not guarantee domain ownership.
A domain is considered registered only when:
- Payment has been received; and
- The relevant registry confirms successful registration.
5. Domain Renewals
Renewal notices may be sent as a courtesy.
However, customers remain solely responsible for ensuring timely renewal of domains.
Failure to renew may result in:
- Domain suspension
- Domain expiration
- Domain redemption fees
- Permanent loss of the domain name
TownsTech is not liable for losses arising from expired domains.
6. Transfers
Domain transfers are subject to registry and registrar requirements.
Transfer requests may be delayed or denied where:
- Outstanding invoices exist.
- Regulatory requirements are not met.
- Registry restrictions apply.
7. Refunds
Domain registration fees are generally non-refundable once registration has been submitted to the registry.
Renewals, transfers, and redemption fees are likewise non-refundable except where required by law.
8. Registry Compliance
Customers agree to comply with the policies of the relevant registry, including but not limited to:
- .co.zw
- .org.zw
- .ac.zw
- .com
- .net
- .org
- Other supported extensions
Registry policies may change from time to time and shall take precedence where applicable.
9. Suspension and Cancellation
TownsTech may suspend domain-related services where:
- Registration information is false.
- Fraudulent activity is detected.
- Court orders or regulatory directives require action.
- Registry policies require suspension.
10. Limitation of Liability
TownsTech shall not be liable for losses arising from:
- Domain expiration
- Registry failures
- Registrar failures
- Transfer delays
- Domain disputes
- Third-party actions
Customers are encouraged to enable auto-renewal where available.
